(Brief record of the proceedings of the meeting of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha held on Tuesday the 22nd  March, 2005 from 2.00 P.M. to 5.19 P.M.).

 

I.     RESUMPTION OF DISCUSSION ON THE GOVERNOR’S ADDRESS 

 

   Discussion on the Governor’s Address was resumed.

 

    Shri Naresh Kumar Malik, a member from the Bhartiya Janata Party who had spoken for 9 minutes and was then in possession of the House, when it adjourned at 1.30 P.M. today, was asked to resume his speech and he, while doing so, spoke for 5 minutes.

The Irrigation Minister and Health Minister intervened and spoke for 4 and 1 minute respectively.

The Chief Minister, while replying to the debate, spoke for 47 minutes.

Thereafter, the motion-

 

   ‘That an Address be presented to the Governor in the following terms-

    “That the Members of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha assembled in this Session are deeply grateful to the Governor for the Address which he has been pleased to deliver to the House on the 22nd March, 2005.’.”

was put and carried.

 

II.           PRESENTATION OF SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATES FOR THE YEAR 2004-2005.(Second Instalment).

    The Finance Minister presented the Supplementary Estimates for the Year 2004-2005. (Second Instalment).

 

III.       PRESENTATION OF REPORT OF ESTIMATES COMMITTEE

 

    Shri Shadi Lal Batra, Chairperson, Estimates Committee presented the Report of the Committee on the Supplementary Estimates 2004-2005 (Second Instalment).

    The Deputy Speaker occupied the Chair from 3.15 P.M. to 3.37 P.M.

   The Sabha then adjourned till 9.30 A.M. on Wednesday,23rd March 2005.
