(Brief record of the proceedings of the meeting of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha held on Monday the 17th September, 2007 from 2.00 P.M. to 3.01 P.M.).

 

I.                      OBITUARY REFERENCES

 

                         The Chief Minister made references to the deaths of the late:

                       

1.                  Shri Chandra Shekhar, former Prime Minister.

2.                  Shri Banarsi Dass Gupta, former Chief Minister.

3.                  Dr. Sahib Singh Verma, former Chief Minister, Delhi.

4.                  Shri Faquir Chand Aggarwal, former Member of Haryana Ligislative Assembly.

5.                  Shri Kundan Lal, former Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly.

6.                  Freedom Fighters of Haryana.

7.                  Martyrs of Haryana.

8.                  Common.

                        The Chief Minister also added the names of Shri Chuhar Singh, former Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Shri Surat Singh, freedom fighter, Village Baroada, District Sonepat and Shri Hawa Singh, brother of Smt. Rajrani Punam MLA in the above list.

and spoke for 14 minutes.

                   On the suggestions made and agreed to, the  name of Shri Banu Ram Gupta, freedom fighter, Village Shahabad, District Kurukshetra was also included in the above list.

                        Shri Om Parkash Chautala, a member from the Indian National Lok Dal, spoke for 6 minutes.

                        Shri Ram Kumar Gautam, a member from the Bhartiya Janata Party, spoke for 9 minutes.

                        The Education Minister, spoke for 13 minutes.

                        Shri Phool Chand Mullana, a member from the Treasury Benches, spoke for 9 minutes.

                        The  Speaker also associated himself with the sentiments expressed in the House and spoke for 6 minutes.

                        It was decided to send messages of condolence to the bereaved families.

                        The House stood in silence for 2 minutes as a mark of respect to the memory of the deceased.

            The Sabha then adjourned till 9.30 A.M. on Tuesday, the 18th  September, 2007.
