WATER ALLOWANCE IN THE STATE

*1220. SH. SHAMSHER SINGH SURJEWALA, M.L.A. : Will the Irrigation Minister be pleased to state:-

a) whether the water allowance in the state of Haryana is 2.4 Cs and the only exception is district Kaithal where water allowance is 1.9 Cs; if so, the grounds for this discrimination togetherwith steps taken to remove this discrimination; and

b) whether it is fact that the Saraswati distributary system existing in the Kaithal area was being fed from Saraswati lake since inception and now the Sawaswati lake is not being allowed to be filled for the last about 10 years making Kaithal as one of the dry districts; if so, the steps taken by the Government for providing alternate source to feed the Saraswati lake distributary system?
