No-confidence motion in Ministry

No confidence motions are intended to express want of confidence in, or disapproval of the policy in a particular respect of a Minister or the Ministry as a whole. The member intending to move such a motion has to give notice in writing to the Principal Secretary before the commencement of the sitting. If in the opinion of the speaker, the motion is in order, he reads it to the House and asks those in favor of leave being granted to rise in their places and if not less than 18 do so, he intimates that leave is granted. In the event of leave being granted, discussion takes place on the day appointed by him for the purpose, but such day must be in period of ten days from the day on which the leave is granted.
